How should I take Loperamide?
This medicine is available in form of a tablet and a capsule.
You should take Loperamide exactly as instructed by your doctor or pharmacist. The usual starting dose is two 2 mg tablets/capsules. The usual maintenance dose is one 2 mg tablet/capsule after each loose bowel movement. The maximum dose is 8 tablets/capsules per day. Do not use more of it, do not use it more often, or do not use it for a longer time than your doctor instructed. Do not take two doses together if you miss a dose.
