TRAVOCORT

This medicine contains two active ingredients, 10 mg/g of isoconazole and 1mg/g of diflucortolone. Isoconazole is an azole antifungal medicine that is used in the treatment of fungal skin diseases. Diflucortolone belongs to a group of medicines called corticosteroids that are used to reduce inflammation of skin conditions which cause itching, burning, redness and pain. Travocort is prescribed for the treatment of fungal infection of the skin which is combined with inflammation.

Is Travocort suitable for me?

Travocort is not suitable for everyone. Do not use it

• if you are allergic to isoconazole, diflucortolone, or other ingredients of this medicine
• have skin lesions in the area to be treated
• have a viral infection e.g. herpes, shingles or chicken-pox
• have a chronic skin inflammation of the face (rosacea), skin inflammation around the mouth (perioral dermatitis)

In particular, you must tell the doctor if you:

• are pregnant or breastfeeding
• have a bacterial infection of the skin
• have Tuberculosis and syphilitic processes in the area to be treated

Travocort interacts with other medicines. It is most important that you tell the doctor all the medications and herbal supplements that you are currently taking.

How should I take Travocort?

This medicine is available in form of a cream.

You should take Travocort exactly as instructed by your doctor or pharmacist. The dose will be prescribed according to your condition and needs.

• The cream is usually applied twice a day, for no longer than two weeks.

Do not use more of it, do not use it more often, or do not use it for a longer time than your doctor instructed. Do not take two doses together if you miss a dose.

What are Travocort side effects?

Like all medicines Travocort can cause side effects, including:

Common

• skin irritation or burning feeling

Uncommon

• redness (erythema)
• dryness at the application site
• stretch marks
