CARDOGREL

clopidogrel ( B01AC04)

Also known as: Plavix

This medicine contains the active ingredient clopidogrel which belongs to the group of medicines known as antiplatelet medicinal products. These medicines impede the formation of blood clots (thrombus) which can cause stroke or heart attack by blocking the blood vessel. They manage to do this by preventing platelets (small blood cells that stick onto each other when blood clots) from sticking onto the arteries and cause thrombus. Clopidogrel is prescribed for the prevention of the formation of blood clots, especially if you had heart attack, stroke, angina, peripheral arterial disease or atherothrombosis.[...]

How should I take Clopidogrel?

This medicine is available in form of a film-coated tablet.

You should take Clopidogrel exactly as instructed by your doctor or pharmacist. Also, this medicine works best if there is a constant amount in the blood. To help keep this amount constant, do not miss any doses and take the medicine at the same time each day.
